Comparable in size to conventional cutlery, our utensils are lightweight, ergonomically designed and aesthetically pleasing. The hallmark of our cutlery is their strength, unsurpassed by any other disposable utensils. Our forks are able to pierce a raw carrot, our spoons can support a small melon and our knives easily slice through steak.
Our cutlery is 100% Canadian Made with the entire manufacturing process taking place in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. Aspenware’s unique twin-layered construction differentiates Aspenware from all other disposable cutlery. Our cutlery is manufactured entirely out of natural materials, the birch wood that we use is incidentally harvested during normal operations of the softwood lumber industry. Wood is a fully renewable, sustainable and biodegradable resource.
Aspenware has taken great care to ensure all aspects of our manufacturing processes are as environmentally friendly as possible. This includes the material used to package our retail product. Though it looks like plastic, this film is true cellulose, produced from 100% plant and wood fibre. This clear film offers Aspenware the opportunity to align our packaging message with the environmental spirit of our product. As with our cutlery, this material is completely biodegradable, and will naturally break down in a backyard composter.
Aspenware cutlery is packaged in retail packs of 12 pieces which are available nationally through London Drugs, Pharmasave, Choices and Whole Foods. Bulk packages are available through distributors such as SYSCO, VerTerra and Chefs’ Warehouse.
Aspenware cutlery was included in the 2009 JUNO Awards Gift Bag that was created by Gabrielle Durning of The Uptown Giftbox Company.
